About the event
Meet hummingbirds up close at the annual Hummingbird Festival, on Thursday, August 24th from 3 – 6 p.m. Join host Vernon Kleen to learn about hummingbird species, what attracts these birds, and watch as we capture, band, and release wild birds. Come for part of the evening or stay the whole time. Bring your lawn chair to the west lawn of Rock Springs Nature Center. Festival attendance is free, though donations are encouraged. No registration is required. This event is co-sponsored by Macon County Conservation District. Decatur Audubon will also be giving away two hummingbird feeders!
