About the event
The Decatur Area Audubon Society (DAAS) is excited to host our second annual Big Day event locally. This event is open to all birders of any skill level in the greater Macon County community to participate and win prizes. Must be registered by RSVPing to this event and submit your Big Day list no later than Wednesday, May 15th by email to decatur-audubon@gmail.com to compete for a prize. Participants do not need to be in Macon County and bird sightings can be anywhere in Illinois. The Decatur Area Audubon Society will award prizes to registered participants in the following categories:
18 and Under: Most Species Identified by an individual
70 and Over: Most Species Identified by an Individual
Individual 19-69: Most Species Identified by an Individual
Group Birding (2 or more cooperative birders of any age, any location): Most Species Identified as a group
