Bird Banding Observation - Event CANCELLED due to weather

Please join Decatur Audubon Society for a morning of bird banding observation at the Illinois Raptor Center, 5695 W. Hill Rd., Decatur. Banding will be from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18th. Please call or email Jeannie Barnes (217.620.9826, jespaleum1@aol.com) if you plan to attend.

There will be banding dates before May 18th if you are interested in going on your own. Please visit the Illinois Raptor Center Bird Banding Station on Facebook and find the schedule in their April 2nd post. You can message them on the page or email Travis Wilcoxsin to let them know you plan to attend on other days. Please also note the rules: Only the banding station is open to visitors and only on scheduled banding days; stay in the banding station area; only trained staff will handle birds or equipment.
